What is the range of sound that the human ear can catch?

A young human being
can hear almost all
sounds from 15 Hz to
20,000 Hz. With age,
you hear less, and find
it difficult to catch
higher frequencies. A
human voice carries
sound at about 60 Hz,
but a shout can reach
13,000 Hz. Elephants,
dogs and other animals
can hear ultrasonic
sound that we cannot.
